Popradské pleso is situated on the Tatra Highway at an altitude of 1 494 m. It has an area of 6.88 hectares, a depth of about 18 m and its outflow, the Krupá, forms the Poprad River. There is a mountain hotel and Majláth's cottage in the vicinity of the lake, and cross-country skiing and cycling trails lead along the lake in winter. In 2018, Popradské pleso was one of the most visited destinations in the Tatras.
