Starý Smokovec

Starý Smokovec is the oldest village in Tatras and administrative center of the High Tatras. There is a city office, hotels, rentals and also travel agencies. The village is located at the intersection of the Road of Freedom with the road II / 534 from Poprad directly between Nový and Horný Smokovec. Stary Smokovec, together with Strbske pleso and Tatranska Lomnica, which are the centers of tourism in the High Tatras.

There are also historic buildings of the Swiss House and Villa Flora. The dominant features of the village are the Hotel Grand, the Roman Catholic Church, the Villa Klotilda and the Tatra Electric Railway stop.

Hrebienok

Hrebienok is a tourist center located above Starý Smokovec at the foot of the Slavkovský Peak at 1,285 m above sea level.

At present, Hrebienok serves as an important ski and tourist resort. It is the starting point for the Malá Studená dolina and the Velká Studená dolina, as well as the Slavkovský Peak. There is a slalom ski slope, which continues as a classic ski slope to Starý Smokovec. On both sides there are two symmetrical 750 m ski lifts. South of the hotel there are four smaller ski lifts.

Štrbské pleso

Strbske pleso (in Polish: Szczyrbskie jezioro) is the most typical moraine lake in the High Tatras in Slovakia.

Located at 1346 m above sea level. In places where Furkotská and Mlynická dolina are connected. It has an area of 19.76 hectares, a maximum depth of 20 m, a length of 640 m and a width of 600 m. Štrbské pleso is covered with ice on average for 155 days a year. It is the second largest lake in Slovakia. There are no surface streams coming in our outside the lake.

Poprad

The town of Poprad with its 53,000 inhabitants represents a dynamically developing administrative, economic, cultural and social center of the Tatras region.
